Select a city to see restaurants: Bellevue | Seattle | Issaquah | Redmond

Great Harvest Bread Company (Baked Goods)
www.greatharvest.com/ (Jane's Tip: This is THE place to get your fresh baked bread. All the loaves are tasty but if you want to give it a try, they will give you a sample. I love the Cinnamon Chip and you can get a small loaf, kind of like a personal pan pizza, only personal bread loaf! They only make sandwiches during the work week.)

Square Lotus (Vietnamese)
3540 Factoria Blvd Se Ste A Bellevue, WA 98006 425-679-0680 (Jane's Tip: The portions are somewhat small so if you get 1 dish, it will probably feed just 1 person. I really enjoy the Chicken with Green Beans and also the Fried Noodles.) I Love Pho (Vietnamese)
3900 Factoria Blvd SE A local Factoria staple to the food scene. Sometimes you need a bowl of hot soup and noodles to warm you up. I also like their wonton soup, Phad Thai (different prep from Thai restaurants), and my kids like the Green Beans with Chicken)

Mediterranean Kitchen (Mediterranean)
103 Bellevue Way NE # 103 Bellevue, WA 98004 425-462-9422 (Jane's Tip: The portions are huge so if you are just eating for 2, I would recommend ordering 1 dish and sharing. If you LOVE garlic, this is the place for you.)

Daniel's Broiler (Steak)
www.schwartzbros.com/daniels.cfm (Jane's Tip: This place is THE place to go for steaks in Bellevue. The views are AMAZING. OK so it's a little confusing parking underground since there are 3 different underground elevators! Look for the Hyatt elevator, then you have to go to the lobby and take another elevator (doesn't connect to the parking garage) up to the 21st floor. The best deals are at lunch so check it out!)

Shanghai House (Chinese)
12816 SE 38th St # K Bellevue, 425-643-1663 (Jane's Tip: Most people don't know that this place has Korean food because, well, the Korean food is written in Korean and doesn't have an English translation! Try the Deep Fried Chicken Wings with the sauce on the side (or the deep fried shrimp) from that menu. They are famous for their "Ja Jang Myun" which is noodles in a black bean sauce or their "Jam Pong" (seafood noodle soup) but that is not for the faint of heart because it is spicy. You can also ask for a side of kimchi that they make in-house with cabage. It is complimentary!)

Yea's Wok (Chinese)
6969 Coal Creek Parkway SE (Cross Street: 69th Way) Newcastle, WA 98059 425-644-5546 (Jane's Tip: So this isn't a Bellevue address but it is right on the border of South Bellevue and North Newcastle. The food is AMAZING. They have this secret Chinese menu that they refuse to translate into English (don't know if they really refuse, I'm just kidding about that). But seriously, everything is really good here and if you have a friend that can speak and read Chinese, then you have hit the jackpot! My favorites from the English menu are Volcano Rice, Walnut Shrimp, Shrimp with Black Bean Sauce (anything is good though, beans are quite salty though), and Pepper Beef.) You will not be disappointed if you make the drive out here. All the locals love it, so be prepared to stand in line during busy hours!

Top Gun (Dim Sum)
12450 SE 38th St Bellevue, WA 98006 425-641-3386 (Jane's Tip: This is another favorite spot amongst the locals. It is tucked away from the road so make sure you don't deviate from your GPS directions!)

Blue Ginger (Korean)
14045 NE 20th St Bellevue, WA 98007 425-746-1222 (Jane's Tip: While this isn't my FAVORITE Korean restaurant in the state, it's decent Korean food on the Eastside. If you get a barbecue table, your clothes will stink so you may want to dine in casual clothes.)

South Gate Nam Dae Moon Garden (Korean)
3703 150th Ave SE Bellevue, WA 98006 (Jane's Tip: My kids always get Rice Cake Soup from here. Of all the Korean restaurants that we've tried locally, my kids agree that this is one of their favorites. Try the kalbi and cold noodle soup combo on a hot day.)

Marinepolis Sushi Land (Conveyor Belt Sushi)
138 107th Ave NE Bellevue, WA 98004 425-455-2789 (Jane's Tip: You want cheap sushi? Here's the place! The parking is a bit of a challenge during the week but it's not horrible. When you first get there, head straight to the cash register and put your name on the board for a seat.)

Ooba Toobas (Mexican)
555 108th Ave NE Bellevue, WA 98004 425-646-4500 (Jane's Tip: This place is great for fast, cheap burritos and quesadillas. Takeout is the way to go since there aren't a whole lot of seats in the restaurant.)

Thai Ginger (Thai)
www.thaiginger.com The location that I frequent is the one in Bellevue. It is very small so if you go during busy hours, be prepared to wait!

I Love Sushi (Sushi)
They currently have great take-out platter specials and I love their Spicy Tofu (Appetizer), sushi rolls, and the sashimi is so fresh!

Seastar (Seafood)
www.seastarrestaurant.com 206 108th Ave NE #100 Bellevue, WA 98004 425-456-0010Jane's Tip: Try the Appetizer Tower! Shanghai Cafe (Chinese)
(Jane's Tip: I love their green barley shaved noodles and their spicy eggplant. Give it a try!)

Bellevue | Seattle | Issaquah | Redmond

Cedars (Indian)
www.cedarsseattle.com (Jane's Tip: Personally, I like Bengal Tiger better but this place is good as well. Be prepared to wait because this place is really popular!)

Tutta Bella (Neopolitan Pizza)
www.tuttabella.com (Jane's Tip: I've been to both locations but I think the Wallingford one is better ONLY because it has more tables so if it is busy, then you wait less. They make authentic wood-fired pizzas and they are fresh and not greasy. My favorites are the classic Pizza Margherita and the Proscuitto and Arugula. This will become your FAVORITE pizza spot, I promise!)

Nora Bistro (Korean/Chinese)
15033 Aurora Ave Shoreline, WA 98133 206-417-9978 (Jane's Tip: OK so this isn't really Seattle but it's north of Seattle on Aurora Avenue. They have the BEST Korean deep fried chicken wings! Their noodles in black bean sauce was pretty tasty too but I recommend the wings if you are craving them! It's worth the trip up there!)

Ka Won Korean Restaurant (Korean)
15004 Hwy 99 #A Lynnwood, WA 98037 425-787-6484 (Jane's Tip: Also not Seattle but close to the Alderwood Mall. I LOVE their Braised Black Cod and everyone really seems to enjoy their hot pots but the Cod always keeps me coming back and if I ever get the chance to pick up dinner after a day of outlet mall shopping, I try to pickup here! Even my Mother-In-Law loves it and she LIVES in Korea!)

Boom Noodle (Nuevo Japanese)
1121 East Pike Street Seattle, WA 98122 206-701-9130 (Jane's Tip: In the Capitol Hill area of Seattle. We tried this place after checking out Samarai Noodle House in the International District (we didn't care for Samarai too much). This place's Ramen is decent; their drinks are pretty amazing and delicious! We look forward to going back to try other items.)

Nishino Restaurant (Sushi)
www.nishinorestaurant.com (Jane's Tip: I visited this place years ago when my husband and I were dating and my impression was that it was PRICEY but also very good. I went here for my last birthday dinner and LOVED it! I ordered the Omikase dinner and "left it to the Chef's" to wow me... they did indeed WOW me! Truly amazing, unforgettable food!)

El Gaucho (Steak)
www.elgaucho.com (Jane's Tip: This place is my ultimate favorite place for true dining pleasure. I absolutely insist on the Chateaubriand for Two (I hope that you will have SOMEONE else accompany you if you are ordering it and not eating it by yourself!) It comes with the real, authentic homemade caesar salad (made from anchovies, garlic, and lemon, tableside, with a fork in the wooden bowl.) This place is ALL CLASS. The "plate" at the end is like the icing on the cake at the end of your meal. You'll know what I'm talking about if you eat there!)

Bengal Tiger (Indian)
www.bengaltigerwa.com (Jane's Tip: Our family's favorite dishes are the Chicken Tikka Masala and the Eggplant Bharta. We also order Naan (bread) and the Samosas (appetizer) are amazing but the cabbage that it sits on top of is spicy so watch out!)

Bellevue | Seattle | Issaquah | Redmond

Orenji Sushi and Noodles (Asian)
https://orenjisushinoodles.com/ I have tried the ramen, sushi, and katsu here. It's all very good!

Jak's Grill (Steaks)
www.jaksgrill.com (Jane's Tip: They recently raised their prices so it isn't as good of a deal as it used to be. They don't take reservations so be prepared to wait or you better get there right when they open at 4:30 or 5:00.)

I Sushi (Conveyor Belt Sushi)
1802 12th Ave NW Suite F Issaquah, WA 98029 425-313-7378 (Jane's Tip: Pretty good conveyor belt sushi and if you don't see what you like, just ask the chefs and they will make it for you. Just like Blue Ginger, this place does a number on your clothes. You will ALWAYS leave this place smelling like fried foods, just FYI.)

Noodle Boat (Thai)
700 NW Gilman Blvd #E104b Issaquah Located in a small strip mall next to a UPS store. I've also visited the Japanese place next door but they do not have any tables and chairs. (Jane's Tip: Super small family owned business. I love their Panang Curry, Phad See Lew, and thie Kow Obi Gai Tod is amazing!)

Coconut Thai
660 Front St N Issaquah (Jane's Tip: We recently discovered this place and the food is SPICY but absolutely delicious and super fresh!)

Bukara Grill (Indian)
131 Front Street Issaquah We have friends that make it their mission to find the BEST Indian food around so we always lean on them for their recommendations. This is our friend's favorite Indian restaurant on the Eastside and we agree! (Jane's Tip: My kids LOVE the butter chicken from here. Samosas are on the spicy side.)

Bellevue | Seattle | Issaquah | Redmond

Kanishka (Indian)
www.kanishkaofredmond.com 16101 Redmond Way Redmond, WA 98052 425-869-9182 (Jane's Tip: Recently, one of my good Indian friends introduced me to this place and all I have to say is: GREAT food, hole in the wall place, and cheap! If you LOVE Indian buffets, this is THE place to go! It's becoming quite popular and so there can be wait. Try to go before the crowds get there! You will not be disappointed if you love Indian food!)

Seoul Hot Pot (Korean)
2560 152nd Ave NE Suite #N Redmond, WA 98052 425-885-3355 (Jane's Tip: So this is now my favorite Korean restaurant on the Eastside along with all of my closest friends! Every time I go there, I go with friends or I see one of my friends there! Talk about word of mouth! Apparently the chef of this restaurant once worked at the famous Hosoonyi's in Lynnwood and has brought those delicious dishes to the Eastside and without the wait! Since this hotspot is still undiscovered, it's easy to find a table and seat. Make sure you try the Seafood Paejun (pancake) and you can ask for them to cook it extra crispy. Also, the kalbi and boolgogi are good as well as the famous Soft Tofu Soups. YUM!)

Ooba Tooba's (Mexican)
www.oobatooba.com 15802 Ne 83rd St Redmond, WA 98052 425-702-1694 (Jane's Tip: This place is yummy and cheap! They also have a Bellevue location! I recently tried the potato quesadilla and it was REALLY REALLY delicious! Great place to stop off and take a break if you are on the Marymoor/Lake Sammamish Trail)

Stone (Korean)
16857 Redmond Way Redmond, WA 98052 (Jane's Tip: This restaurant is known for its rice in stone bowls and their soft tofu soup. Their fried chicken is also very good but has a spicy kick to it. You can order the chicken without the sauce though. I order the mushroom soft tofu soup with a little bit of Korean miso paste in it. Refills on the side dishes are complimentary.
